Our History

Grace Funeral Chapels started in 1991 in Brooklyn, New York, and is one of the largest and most elegant funeral homes in Brooklyn and Queens, offering large chapels and parking for over 100 cars, conveniently located minutes from JFK and LaGuardia Airports.

In 2004, we expanded and opened our South Florida location at.5980 West Oakland Park Blvd Lauderhill, Florida 33313.

Our directors and staff combine many years of experience as they continue the great tradition of outstanding service for which Grace Funeral Chapels has been known.

  • Mandisa  Tomlinson

    Mandisa Tomlinson, Managing Licensed Funeral Director

    Mandisa Tomlinson, a fourth generation Funeral Director, is a native of Montego Bay, Jamaica. She attended Miami Dade Community College and was bestowed her Associate of Science in Funeral Services in 2010. She completed her Funeral Director Internship with Grace Funeral Chapels here in Lauderhill, Florida and became a Licensed Funeral Director in 2011. Mandisa also received her Bachelor in International Business from Florida International University in 2006. She enjoys partaking in Carnivals here in Florida and in Jamaica, W.I. She enjoys going for long walks with her dog Mufasa, reading, going to the beach, cooking and spending time with family and friends.Mandisa, was promoted to Managing Funeral Director at Grace Funeral Chapels on August 31st, 2015.

  • Shanté Huson

    Shanté Huson, Licensed Funeral Director

    Shanté Huson, a first generation Funeral Director, a native of Florida graduated from Miami Dade College with an Associates of Science in Funeral Services in 2014. She went on to do her internship for one year, then joined the Grace Funeral Chapels family in July of 2016. Shanté brings a caring touch to every family she meets with and enjoys what she does. Shanté got married to the love of her life in 2014 and they both live with their Schnauzer, Jack and their cat Ash.
